NALC Above and Beyond Award 2008
The 2008 Above-and-Beyond Award is presented by Working Mother Media and Diversity Best Practices to recognize individuals whose grit and determination led to the creation, success and/or turn-around of their company’s network group. These individuals have a "day job" in addition to the responsibilities of leading their respective Network/Affinity Group, Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and Business Resource Groups (BRG). They have helped to increase company participation, contribute to the bottom line outcome, champion future leaders, and advocate the values of their members. They work in the "trenches" to bring their groups together for the benefit of mutual support, to grow within their company, and to offer programs that are unique to their community. They work across corporate and community borders for their affinity group's – and their organization's – success.
